Each illustration is so creative. We love that there is something going on everywhere on each page. Andrew's favorite character was Mr. Tweed for his kindness and warm personality. I loved him too, but Bully the Bull warmed my heart. He came through in the end and made everyone a winner. The book is magical and brilliant. A lesson for all ages.

About Herb Mignery

"After 50 years of sculpting Western Americana, I have chosen to embrace a long-time desire to create a fantasy world where children can find only goodness and compassion."  - Herb Mignery

Herb Mignery grew up on a ranch near Bartlett, Nebraska. His early childhood love of drawing led to a career in art, first as an illustrator in the army and later as a commercial artist. In the mid-1970s an experiment in bronze casting changed his direction to fine art. Herb's early life on a working ranch and his later interest in the history of the American West guided his successful career as a bronze sculptor. Drawing, though, was never forgotten. Over the years Herb’s light-hearted work has appeared in books, calendars, greeting cards, magazines and now children’s books that boldly illustrate his love of nature on every page.
